Kemudian putusan MA RI turun dan kita terima pemberitahuannya pada 18/10/2017. Dalam perkara ini, terpidana divonis bersalah dalam kasus usaha investasi pemeliharaan sapi perah. Toni Gumelar berperan ikut membantu adiknya yang juga telah dipidana selama empat tahun. Terpidana Toni ikut mencari calon investor lain yang ingin menanamkan modal di usaha pemeliharaan sapi perah ini.
dalam kasus tersebut toni menjanjikan keuntungan sebesar 5 hingga 10 persen dari investasi. pada awalnya berjalan sesuai kesepakatan namun sampai di tengah perjalanan janji tersebut tidak terealisasi. akhirnya 10 orang yang berinvestasi melaporkan ke kepolisian, dengan tuduhan penipuan.
