Penemuan mayat seorang laki laki di perkirakan umur (22) tanpa identitas dengan memakai kaos hijau hitam tanpa celana gegerkan warga jombang.
penemuan 2 mayat di Dam Karet Sungai Brantas pertama kali terlihat oleh warga Desa Sudimoro, Megaluh, yang sedang memancing di Dam Karet pada Minggu (7/1/2018) pukul 12.00 WIB.
“Ada dua mayat yang saya lihat mengapung, lalu kita langsung melaporkan kepada perangkat desa setempat, sehingga banyak warga lain pula yang berdatangan kemari untuk melihat mayat tersebut” kata alimin seorang pemancing di sekitar lokasi kejadian.
Masih kata alimin, satu mayat berhasil di evakuasi tetapi mayat yang satunya hanyut, di Dam Karet.
Kapolsek Megaluh AKP Sutikno menjelaskan, sekitar pukul 14.30 WIB salah satu mayat terseret arus ke tepian Sungai Brantas. Dibantu warga, petugas mengevakuasi mayat tersebut dan di bawa ke RSUD Jombang.
Saat ini Polsek Megaluh menyelidiki identitas mayat pemuda ini. Kondisi mayat sudah membengkak, kulit memutih akibat cukup lama hanyut di Sungai Brantas. Sementara satu mayat lainnya terbawa arus Sungai Brantas ke arah Mojokerto, pungkasnya.
