Kasatreskrim Polres Blitar, AKP Rifaldhy mengatakan bahwa pihaknya bersama tim medis dari Puskesmas Talun sempat memeriksa kondisinya. namun ditemukan tanda-tanda kekerasan, dan korban meninggal murni karena sakit komplikasi yang dideritanya. korban selama ini sakit diabetes dan infeksi. Seorang anaknya yang tinggal di Garum, sebenarnya sudah mengajaknya tinggal di rumahnyaa. Tapi korban tidak kerasan di rumah anaknya. Bolak-balik minta pulang ke rumahnya sendiri.
atas kejadian tersebut bahwa keluarga korban menyatakan agar mayat korban tidak di autopsi
