Kelurahan Jati Danau Toba, Kecamatan Ternate Tengah, Kota Ternate, Maluku Utara terdapat pemandangan yang tak sedap. Pasalnya, tempat tersebut menjadi pembuangan sampah sementara. Sehingga, mengakibatkan sampah berhamburan dan alih fungsi. Hal ini, disebabkan karena tak ada tempat yang disediakan untuk pembuangan sampah diseputaran tempat itu. Tempat tersebut berada di Kelurahan Jati Danau Toba Rt, 04, Kecamatan Ternate Tengah, Kota Ternate.
Saat ditemui pada, Jumat (01/12/2017), Sakinah Muhammad salah satu warga setempat mengatakan bahwa sampah yang berserakan diseputaran depan Rumah warga menjadi sorotan warga pejalan kaki. Sebab, sampah tersebut jika terjadi hujan atau angin kencang, maka sampah tersebut berhamburan dijalan raya. "Hal ini bisa mengakibatkan terjadinya pencemaran lingkungan,"ucapnya
Lanjut Sakinah Muhammad, memang warga sekitaran Jati Danau Toba, khususnya tempat tinggal berdekatan dengan tumpukan sampah sering membuang sampah samping jalan raya karena tidak ada tempat yang disediakan.'lanjutnya
Harap, pemerintah harus lebih tegas, agar masyarakat tak buang sampah ditempat itu. Karena tempat itu, merupakan salah satu tempat yang harus dijaga kelestariannya."tegasnya
