Kegiatan Lomba Kompetensi Siswa (LKS) yang dilakukan di SMK Negeri 2 Kota Ternate, dimeriahkan dengan berbagai Tarian Khas Daerah Maluku Utara. Dan kegiatan ini di buka dengan tarian Soya-Soya atau Tarian Perang dan ditutup dengan Tarian Kene-Kene atau Tarian Kolaborasi antara Tarian Adat dan Tarian Modern. Bertujuan untuk menghibur dan memperkenalkan tarian khas kepada para tamu. Sebab, tamu yang hadir pada kegiatan itu, dari Kementrian Pendidikan Republik Indonesia.
Imran Yakub selaku Kepala Dinas Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Provinsi Maluku Utara, saat ditemui di lokasi pada (24/10/2017) memaparkan bahwa kegiatan ini kita mulai dari kegiatan tarian soya-soya dan tarian daerah yang lain. Sebab, tarian daerah adalah nilai yang harus kita jaga sehingga kita perkenalkan sampai ke tingkat Nasional dan Internasional. “Karena dengan tarian daerah, kita disatukan melalui ‘Mari Moi Ngone Futuru,”tuturnya
Dan saat Kementerian Pendidikan Republik Indonesia saat memasuki lokasi sekolah, disambut dengan Tarian Adat Moloku Kie Raha. Karena tarian soya-soya bertanda berarti kita telah menerima kedatangan dan menghargai mereka.
Serta berharap kita memupuk dan menjaga tarian-tarian daerah dan menjaga Budaya Syariat Maluku Utara, yang masih kental. “Sehingga mereka yang dari jauh datang merasa bangga terhadap Adat Maloku Kie Raha.”tegasnya (rif)
