Sejumlah warga Kelurahan Maliaro RT 16, Kecamatan Ternate Tengah, Kota Ternate, Maluku Utara, keluhankan pelayanan Perusahan Daerah Air Minum (PDAM) Kota Ternate. Pasalnya, pasakon air bersih yang diberikan pada warga masih jauh dari harapan yang diinginkan oleh warga. Ironisnya, meskipun pasakon yang air yang diberikan masih kurang atau tersendat – sendat, tapi warga masih rutin untuk membayar iuaran rekening air. Dan anehnya, kejadian ini sudah berlangsung lama, tapi belum ada perbaikan yang dilakukan oleh pihak PDAM Kota Ternate sendiri. Sehingga, masyarakat menyayangkan terhadap kejadian itu. Karena, dalam memenuhi kebutuhan untuk memasak dan mandi, warga sangat sulit. Sebab, pasokan air yang diberikan tak memadai dengan kebutuhan warga.
“Hal tersebut sudah terjadi sekitar dua bulan, namun hingga saat ini belum ada realisasinya. Oleh sebab itu, masyarakat Maliaro resah terhadap pasokan air bersih yang diberikan, “beber Ruaida Hi Mangsur, Warga Maliaro, saat ditemui pada (21/11/2017).
Padahal, sebelumnya warga pernah menggeruduk Kantor PDAM Kota Ternate untuk mempertanyakan terhadap pelayanan yang diberikan. Serta, dari pihak PDAM sendiri pun sudah berjanji akan memberikan pelayanan yang maksimal. Dan untuk pasokan air yang diberikannya tak akan mengalami kendala lagi.
