Muhammad Ali Anwar ketua KAWAN AHM Maluku Utara, kepada Lentera Inspiratif.com rabu (22/11/2017) mengatakan, aktifitas kawan AHM tidak sebatas berkonsentrasi pada kegiatan politik, namun bergerak dalam aksi-aksi sosial serta pemberdayaan Pemuda seperti pendidikan politik (Political Education) kepada pemilih pemula.
Hal ini diharapkan mampu meminimalisir stigma politik sebagai sesuatu yang kotor, sehingga menjadi persepsi yang lebih konstruktif guna meningkatkan partisipasi masyarakat dalam pesta demokrasi dalam pemilihan gubernur Maluku utara.’ucapnya
Hal ini bertujuan memberi ruang partisipasi publik yang lebih besar dalam politik, sehingga masyarakat tidak sebatas menjadi obyek akan tetapi juga menjadi subyek/Pelaku dalam pemilihan gubernur 2018 nantinya.
Lanjut Muhammad, kepengurusan kawan AHM sudah terbentuk di lima (5) wilayah antaranya Halmahera Utara, Halmahera Barat, Taliabu, Sofifi dan Kota Ternate. kawan AHM di tingkat Provinsi, Kabupaten/kota bahkan ke desa dan kelurahan yang akan melakukan Kegiatan-kegiatan aksi simpatik dan aksi kreatif.’ tandasnya
Sementara itu Kawan AHM di deklarasikan 28 oktober 2016 dengan slogan ‘Berkawan Pasti Lebih Baik’ bertujuan menggalang kekuatan kaum muda Maluku Utara, untuk memberikan dukungan kepada salah satu calon gubernur Maluku Utara 2018-2023 yakni H. Ahmad Hidayat Mus, yang akrab di sapa AHM.
