Dengan mementum pilgub 2018, media sosial menjadi sarang kompanye hitam dari berbagai bakal calon cagub dan cawagub. Untuk itu, Polres Kota Ternate, khususnya akan menindak tegas bagi penyebar berita hoax. Bukan hanya itu, pihak kepolisian juga akan menertibkan media online yang tak berpayung hukum. Sebab, media merupakan alat untuk memberikan sebuah informasi bagi masyarakat. Namun, jika berita yang diberikan mengandung hoax, maka berita yang telah dikonsumsi akan salah. Sehingga, akan menimbulkan sebuah kegaduhan dalam masyarakat.
Sementara itu saat ditemui beberapa awak media, AKBP Kamal Bahtiar, Waka Polres Kota Ternate pada, kawmis (14/15/2017) menegaskan, Hoax itu berita bohong, bagimana mencapai suatu tujuan untuk memenangkan salah satu tujuan mengunakan anggaran yang besar. Media sosial adalah ruang publik dan ruang terbuka kalau ada tersingungan seseorang atau kolompok, institusi dan simbol-simbol Negara itu akan di proses. Karena hal dan pihak kepolisian serius untuk menangani karena media sosial tersebut yang menciptakan politik hitam, dan hujatan kebencian. Sehingga Komisi Pemilihan Umum (KPU) Maluku Utara dan Bawaslu Maluku Utara, bisa melaporkan jika ada penyebar berita hoax.
“Kandidat bakal calon melakukan konsolidasi untuk mengamankan tim sukses atau pendukungnya agar terlegestrasi dan jangan membuat tim kandidat lain tersinggung hal tersebut menjadi pelangaran itu konsekuensi. Serta, jika ada penyebar berita hoax, untuk menciptakan sebuah kegaduhan maka akan kami tindak tegas. Dan untuk media Online yang tak berpayung hukum, bisa terjerat UU ITE, sehingga dapat dipidanakan, “bebernya
Masih menurut kata Kamal, mari kita sama-sama hapus hoax, karena bisa merugikan. Ditambah lagi, Kapolda juga membentuk kasubdik Multimedia yang akan menangani media sosial terutama media Online, facebook, dsb. Untuk itu, mari kita membangun media sosial menjadikan tempat untuk membangun karakter manusia. “Menjadikan inspiratif, berpikiran positif dan membangun Maluku Utara untuk mengukuhkan persatuan.”tegasnya

Today, I went to the beach with my kids.
