Lenterainspiratif.id | Kediri – Seorang lansia bernama Musdari (74), warga Desa Nglumbang, Kecamatan Gurah, Kabupaten Kediri tewas terpanggang di lahan tebu.
Peristiwa nahas itu terjadi pada Selasa (23/5/2023) sekitar pukul 10.00 WIB, saat itu korban sedang berada di lahan persawahan untuk membakar daun tebu kering.
Kasi Humas Polres Kediri AKP Uji Langgeng mengatakan, saat membakar daun tebu itulah diduga kemudian api tersebut merembet.
“Diduga karena kebingungan dan asap semakin banyak sehingga membuat korban kehabisan nafas dan terbakar,” ujarnya, Rabu (24/5/2023).
Uji mengatakan, peristiwa tersebut diketahui oleh salah satu warga ketika sedang melintas. Saksi khawatir lalu mendatangi lahan yang sedang terbakar. Namun nahas korban sudah dalam keadaan tewas.
‘Kejadian ini dilaporkan langsung ke perangkat desa setempat dan Polsek Gurah,” jelasnya.
Menindaklanjuti laporan itu, lanjut Uji, anggota mendatangi lokasi kejadian untuk olah TKP dan mengevakuasi korban. Dari hasil pemeriksaan oleh petugas, korban mengalami luka bakar pada seluruh tubuhnya akibat peristiwa tersebut.
Selain itu, penyebab dari insiden tersebut murni dikarenakan kecelakaan yang kemudian membuat korban terbakar. “Saat ini jenazah sudah diserahkan kepada keluarga untuk dimakamkam,” tandas Uji. (Fi)
