Warga Kelurahan Maliaro, Kecamatan Ternate Tengah, Kota Ternate, Maluku Utara, alami krisis air bersih. Sebab, Perusahaan Daerah Air Minum ( PDAM) Kota Ternate sudah tak lagi mensuplay air bersih lewat sambungan pipa. Sehingga, atas tindakan yang dilakukan oleh pihak PDAM Kota Ternate, masyarakat alami kesengsaraan dalam memenuhi kebutuhan memasak maupun mandi.
“Kami hanya menerima pasokan air bersih, lewat tangki PDAM, “ucap salah satu, warga yang enggan disebutkan namanya, pada Selasa (21/11/2017).
Meskipun, alternatif yang diberikan oleh pihak PDAM, terkait suplay air bersih lewat tangki, namun, hal itu berjalan tak sesuai harapan lagi. Karena suplay air bersih kepada warga, tak rutin dilakukan tiap hari.
“Memang sebelumnya ada truk tangki PDAM untuk berikan air bersih. Tapi, hal itu dilakukan hanya tiga hari sekali, sehingga kami tetap alami kesusahan dalam mendapatkan air bersih, “ujarnya
Disamping itu, dari Pemerintah Kota Ternate pun seolah – olah tak mengetahui atas kejadian tersebut. Padahal, warga sudah lama mengalami kesusahan dalam mendapatkan air bersih. Serta, solusi yang diberikan oleh Pemerintah Daerah pun tak kunjung datang. Karena persoalan air, merupakan hal yang utama dalam keberlangsungan hidup.
