Puluhan mahasiswa yang tergabung dari organisasi Laskar Anti Korupsi Indonesia (LAKI) Maluku Utara, mengelar aksi demonstrasi mementum hari Anti Korupsi Sedunia yang jatuh tanggal 09 Desember 2017. Demonstrasi dilakukan di depan kantor wali Kota Ternate pada, Senin (11/12/2017). Sebab, di Maluku Utara masih banyak kasus korupsi yang belum terselesaikan. Sehingga, puluhan mahasiswa yang tergabung dalam laskar anti korupsi Indonesia, menuntut kepada sejumlah kepala daerah untuk menindaklanjuti kasus korupsi yang belum terselesaikan.
Sementara itu, saat ditemui beberapa awak media Asriyadi sebagai kordinator lapangan (korlap) menyampaikan, tangkap dan adili aktor korupsi anggaran Sayoang – Yaba yang merugikan Negara Rp.40,9 miliyar dan jalan lingkar Maluku Utara Rp 40 miliyar lebih. Karena, aktor utamanya adalah kepala Dinas PUPR Provinsi Maluku Utara. Selain itu juga masih bisa Kejaksaan Tinggi (Kejati) Maluku Utara, serahkan kasus korupsi Waterboom ke Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi (KPK). Maka dari itu, kita mendukung KPK untuk menyelesaikan kasus korupsi, salah satunya juga Masjid Raya Kepulauan Sula dan kasus suap yang melibatkan pejabat Daerah. Kemudian, mendesak kepada Polda Maluku Utara untuk melakukan penyelidikan anggaran turnamen mancing internasional atau WIFT 2017. “Kami akan desak semua lembaga hukum untuk menyelesaikan kasus korupsi yang berada di Maluku Utara, “tegasnya
Lanjut Asriyadi, sejauh ini persoalan korupsi di Maluku Utara jalan di tempat. Dan puluhan kasus besar belum ditangani pihak penegak hukum dari Kejaksaan tinggi Kejati Maluku Utara dan Polda Maluku Utara. Jika kasus korupsi yang melibatkan Walikota Kota Ternate belum juga diselesaikan oleh Kejati Malut. Untuk itu, Dewan Pimpinan Daerah (DPD) Laskar Anti Korupsi Indonesia (LAKI) Maluku Utara akan memperjuangkan ke komisi pemberantasan korupsi (KPK) di pusat.
